This little hamster is named Elvis and he is just like any other little hamster. At night when everyone else goes to sleep, Elvis is getting up to run his wheel. Little does Elvis know that every loop of the wheel he is giving out electricity that will help charge a cell phone for tomorrow's use.
Now this idea can be used for any mobile device, it just so happened this engineer student used his mobile phone. It's a very good concept and if it works then could be used for many tasks. It is said that for every couple mins Elvis is running on the wheel a cell phone can be charged for about 30 mins of talk time. The numbers might not be completely right but either way if a hamster runs a couple hours a night your mobile phone can be charge a good amount. Good Job Peter. [via gadgetspy]
